Thanks for the Aldi comparison prices! I don’t live close to an Aldi’s and I don’t get there real often, but I like knowing that Dillons had prices that are as good or better on sales.
Also, my Dillons had Mentos 15 pice count gum on sale for a $1. I had a $0.55 off coupon which doubles to a $1 making it free. I’m not sure which insert the coupon was out of. The expiration was 3/31/12.

Watch for clearance Betty Crocker fruit snacks. I was able to buy Sunkist and Spiderman fruit snacks clearanced at $1.29 each. Since I bought 10 of them, I still got the extra $3 off and coupon for $2 off my next purchase. I also had printable coupons for $.50/2 so I ended up paying $.29 for a 10 count package of fruit snacks!
So can you instantly use the catalinas you receive or are they more like vouchers for $.20 off your next purchase?
You get a $2 off coupon off your next purchase for each 10 items you buy. The catalina doesn’t print until after the transaction is finished and the receipt prints.
I went to Dillon’s yesterday and my higher value General Mills cereal coupons would not scan. They were for the Multi-Grain PB Cheerios and another for some Frosted Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I was bummed. Has anyone else had this problem with these particular coupons at Dillon’s? Thanks!
my internet coupons never scan anymore. (since august or september maybe – someone told me the coupons.com site made the barcodes 1/8 of an inch smaller and so now it’s too bunched for most older registers?? IDK if thats true or not)
Some cashiers look at me funny but they always accept them. The manager said as long as I dont have like 8 of the same thing not scanning or as long as the values look correct they will take them. (she was aware you can print 2 per computer. Sometimes I have 4 but never more than that and it’s a smallish town so they seem to ‘remember’ me.)
That’s interesting, I hadn’t heard that about the barcodes being smaller. I know the new GS1 Barcode has caused some confusion since they started showing up on coupons late last June but most stores should be updated to accept them soon in they haven’t already. I’m seeing them more & more on all coupons now too, including insert coupons.
