I had a chance to read Scott MacIntyre’s “By Faith Not By Sight: The Inspirational Story of a Blind Prodigy, a Life-Threatening Illness, and an Unexpected Gift” and it is exactly as the title states. It is a truly inspirational story about overcoming the odds to succeed and finding happiness in all aspects of life. If you are feeling down in the dumps, then be sure and give this positive story and read and I am sure by the end you will be feeling the same joy that Scott expresses throughout the book. Back in the day when I actually watched American Idol a few years back, Scott was one of my favorite contestants I have ever watched. His constant, upbeat attitude was truly a joy to behold. Not to mention the fact that he was an amazing piano player and a heck of a singer to boot.
A little bit about this book: “Scott MacIntyre is a piano prodigy, a nineteen-year-old college grad, a Marshall scholar, and a former American Idol finalist. This is Scott’s story, but he’d be the first to tell you that it’s not really about him. This is the story of how God used a dedicated family, a selfless acquaintance, hardship, and a host of characters to give him life, faith, determination, and experiences most can only imagine.”
