In celebration of its 50th birthday, Pampers is recognizing how much parenting has changed over the years, and is sharing their belief that every baby is a little miracle that deserves to be celebrated, supported and protected, by unveiling its Little Miracle Mission campaign – a program that delivers acts of kindness to miracles and their families while encouraging parents to support others.
Pampers has donated care packages to Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) across the country. Celebs Joey Lawrence , Ali Larter, Mark Consuelos and LaLa Anthony were on-hand in New York City to personally deliver care packages and thank you baskets to Mt. Sinai Hospital and their staff. Pampers has already gained thousands of commitments from Facebook fans-Pampers is throwing 1,000 baby showers for expectant mothers across the country & will also be throwing special Father’s Day cook-outs for dads and babies across the country designed to give dads and their babies valuable bonding time. How great is that?! Be sure to check out Pampers’ Facebook Miracle Mission page HERE for more details.
Pampers also generously invited me to participate by giving me a $50 Gift Card to pay it forward & come up with an awesome idea how to do the most good for my community. I had intentions of using the gift card for an entirely different purpose, but when the tornado hit on 5/22/11 here in Joplin, MO where I reside, I handed over the gift card to a family that had lost their home so they could put it to immediate use for their basic needs.
Now, Pampers wants you to have a chance to perform random acts of kindness & wants to giveaway a $50 Gift Card to one of you! So, one reader will win a $50 American Express Gift Card to help do some good & perform a little miracle mission of your own!
Required Entry: Leave a comment on how you would best use the $50.00 Gift Card to pay it forward within your community. 🙂 Possible ideas have included Some ideas using the money to purchase diapers for a family who could use them, using the money to prepare meals for a family, or even using the money to host a larger fundraiser for a family. I can’t wait to hear your ideas!

Giveaway will conclude on Sunday 6/19 at 11:59pm Central. Winner will be selected by Random.org. Winner has 24 hours to respond, if there is no response, I will randomly select another winner.
Note: I was given a $50 Gift Card by Pampers to “pay it forward” and was not paid for this post. Opinions, as always, are 100% my own.
What a great idea! I would use the giftcard at a local senior activities center in town. With budget cuts, gas prices rising and food prices rising there are many people that are being affected at the center. I could take that card and (along with coupons) buy many items and have an essentials bingo party where everyone could get a couple of items for their home.
I would donate the $50 to a local church that is sending help to Haiti. With $50 a Haitian family would receive a survival kit.
Thanks for the giveaway! I follow in email.

I also live close to Joplin and went down there a few weeks ago to deliver baked goods and sack lunches to emergency personnel. We also took cold sodas and realized those seem to be highly appreciated! I would take the $50 and purchase sodas and ice and take them to the hard working groups cleaning up the debris there in Joplin.

I’d buy some supplies for the local animal shelter. They are hurting for donations with the ecomomy being the way it is.
I’d give this GC to my cousin who is going to have baby in Oct. He is only 17. He is just like a star on 16 and pregnant. I think they could use all the help we could give them.

I use coupons all the time, so I would find the best deals I possibly could for diapers, wipes & other baby items to purchase & then I would distribute the items to a family that goes to our church that I know could really use some help! This family has 2 little ones in diapers & the Dad lost his job some time ago, so they have fallen on hard times & jobs are not easy to come by in our area! He has been searching & searching for steady work and has been working any odd jobs he can at this time!

Just weeks after finalizing the adoption of a sibling trio from foster care, my friend and her husband had a house fire. Mom, dad, 4 kids, and 2 pets were safe, but they lost a LOT of personal items and clothes. The kids have almost NO summer clothes so I’d take the gift card to a thrift shop and get them aach a few things to wear now that temps are in the 80’s and all they have are winter clothes.
I liked you on facebook – and thanks for having such a cool giveaway! 🙂
We like to leave gift cards and bags of food and other necessities anonymously to families we know are going through a hard time financially. That’s what I would do with this card.

I would give it to an area preschool teacher to purchase supplies for her classroom. We all know that teachers spend a significant amount of their own money on supplies for their classrooms. And preschool teachers usually make less money than those who teach older grades. The teacher that I would give this card to has a family of 4 and is back in school obtaining a higher degree in education. This gift card would help spare her family some expense, and the items that she purchases for her classroom would help make learning fun for more than 40 preschoolers!

I would make up donation baskets for people in my state who were affected by the recent bad weather Between coupons and sales I regularly score free/nearly free health and beauty items (I haven’t paid for shampoo or deodorant in YEARS), diapers and wipes. I would put this GC towards purchasing these items (coupons, and the OOP).
I normally donate these to the local food bank but I could drop off these items @ NC State instead. My son goes to school there and even he has been inspired to volunteer with the cleanup effort.
