UPDATE 11/14/12: So, I was looking back at this old post from 2009. Here it is 2012 and so far the nest price I’ve seen for Turkey in my area this year at any grocery store is $0.87 a lb.. That’s quite an increase!
It looks like turkey will be inexpensive this year. Walmart is now offering their Grade A Frozen Turkeys for $.40 a pound now through the holidays. See more details HERE. I imagine other stores will step in with good turkey deals as well. I know one of our local stores Price Cutter is already offering frozen turkeys for $.39 a lb. this week (you have to purchase $20 or more though). Stay tuned for more holiday deals!
