I liked Aldi’s for mostly their produce. They usually have prices you can’t beat on produce and every so often, the prices are outstanding! Keep in mind Aldi’s doesn’t take coupons, so you can leave your coupon organizer behind for this trip. My deal today:
1 Gallon 2% Milk $2.26
2 packages of Portabella Mushrooms $1.19 ea
2 4-packs of Tomatoes $.69 ea
Total with Tax $5.05
Portabella’s are awesome on the grill, just a splash of olive oil and some seasonings and you’re set!
I took one of the portabella’s when I got home and sauteed it with the spinach I got marked down yesterday along with a red onion and some dried sage from my mother’s garden and a little pepper, let me tell you that is a great combination!

I live in Southeast Missouri….we have: Super Walmart, Aldi, Harps & Town & Country….
Harps will NOT take printed coupons, nor will T&C, and as you know Aldi’s doesn’t take coupons. It’s very discouraging trying to save money here, with really no where but Wal-mart. I can drive an hour for Wal-green’s & Kroger…but since it costs me about $20….I need to be able to reason out spending that kind of gas money for the trip. I AM going Thursday, to use the Old Navy coupons, once I realized they are only good in store and not online. Thank you for doing what you do. You don’t know anyone that does the Grocery Gathering for a regional grocery here called “TOWN & Country” do you?

Hi Sherr, thanks for your comment! That’s too bad that Harps doesn’t take printed coupons, IP’s help out a lot on the budget. You might want to call their corporate toll-free number at 1-877-772-8193. Companies like to hear from their customers, they like to know how they can get more customers in their stores. If you let them know how you feel about their no printed coupon policy in your store, they might possibly do something about it!
And I checked the Grocery Gathering, they don’t have anyone doing the Town & Country ad. I looked on the internet but couldn’t find a website for them. So, I don’t have access to their weekly store ad or I’d be happy to do a weekly deals post myself. I’ll put the word out and see if there is someone who could do that on their blog.
And stay tuned, I’ll be posting a Coupon Giveaway here pretty soon, lots of good coupons (no printed coupons).
If I can help further let me know, happy to be of assistance! 🙂

You Rock 🙂 their website is: http://tcgrocery.com
This was my first week of doing the “coupon game” and even though it’s hard with small stores not using printed coupons, I think I did okay 🙂 Shopped specials and really looked “hard” at the stores I was in, to get a better feel of their pricing….
Thank you so much.

Thanks for the website, I missed that. I’ll start doing the Town & Country ad next week!
