So, have you ever had one of those weeks where you just cannot seem to get caught up? I am definitely having one of those weeks, maybe months, and you know what?! I have decided I am perfectly ok with that. One of the many lessons I’ve learned this year here in Joplin is that sometimes (a lot of times), things just take a little bit longer & getting upset about that fact will not change a darn thing. I’ve never been the most patient person in the world- my family, friends & especially my dh John are all very aware of this. Little things used to aggravate me to no end, getting stuck at stoplights, my computer not running quickly enough to suit my taste (yes, I confess, I have called my old loyal ‘puter every name in the book, poor thing), long hold times waiting for customer service on the phone, etc., etc, etc.. Well, nowadays, much more often that not, I am just so flippin’ happy to still be here and to have my friends & family that I hold very near to my heart, always. I’ve also never been very good at expressing my thoughts on how I feel, which maybe stems from insecurity, I guess I’m afraid of being thought of as a big ‘ol dork. 😉 But, I want to try and set those thoughts aside & let people know how I feel. On that note, I’d like to let you all know that I am SO very grateful to my readers and I just want to thank you for taking time out of your busy days to stop by & visit Frugal Fritzie. I put a lot of time & effort into my blog and happily so, because I love what I do and it totally makes my day every day knowing that I’ve helped someone save a few hard-earned dollars. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I’m giving each & every one of you a big, squeezy virtual hug right now! Love you guys! ♥♥♥

So sorry for everything you and other Joplin residents have been through…..and others around the nation and the world coping with the aftermath of extreme weather and other disasters.
I really appreciate all the hard work you put into your blog…..really simplifies tracking down the best deals and enables us to still eat well on a tight budget.
Thank you!

I think being grateful for just being here, and slowing down to remember what’s really important in life is one of the best lessons going through this tornado has taught me. I used to get so irritated if I didn’t get my Sunday papers, messed up a coupon deal, or couldn’t get the good Walgreens deals because they were all gone by 12:05am. Since the tornado, I haven’t pushed myself to extremes for deals, and though I may not get every deal and once in awhile pay (gasp!) full price for something, I am much happier and more relaxed. I want to thank you for continuing to keep me updated on the deals and for discussing your post-disaster thoughts as it helps to know we’re all in the same boat! And by the way, just be yourself, who cares if that’s being a “big ol’ dork”? I’m 32 and will proudly admit that I coupon, crochet, knit, and lots of other dorky things because it makes me happy to do those things 🙂

Thank you so much for all you do for us each day. You help the working mom’s out here that don’t have a ton of time to search for deals! I am so sorry for all the loss Joplin has encountered. I have a dear cousin that survived the tornado and we are so blessed that so many of you survived. I am originally from Girard, KS and recently toured your city. It was awesome to see the rebuilding of a great place. In times of despair in this country, we see how great it is to be American and the true heart this country has. Godspeed!
