So, by the time I had gotten my errands done Saturday morning, including a Walmart shopping trip, it was getting unbearably muggy out, so once I was in Price Cutter, I didn’t stay long. I checked for any markdowns in meat, didn’t see any, so I grabbed a bag of chips, headed to the frozen aisle, picked up my goodies and got the heck out of the store and back home. We haven’t been running our air conditioning yet, it just seems way too early to crank it on and we’re not looking forward to the extra expense, so we’re holding out as long as possible. Needless to say, once I got back home and put everything up, the first thing I did was sit in front of a fan & enjoy a nice, cold, frosty bowl of ice cream! 🙂

My Walmart Shopping Trip using hangtag 7up coupons

So I headed out to do a few things early Saturday and by mid-morning it was already pretty darn hot! I headed into Walmart to pick up a few things and judging from my purchases, I’m thinking I was pretty thirsty, what do you think?! 😉

  • 5 Diet 7Up & 5 A&w (2 liter) – $1.00 ea., Used 10 $0.55/1 hangtag coupons (I don’t know if the person that stocks the 7Up products at our local Walmart discovered a huge stash of these coupons or what and was rushing to get them all out since they expire 5/31, but again, there were tons & tons of these hangtag coupons on the 7Up product 2 liters, it was awesome! As I was shopping, I noticed a lot of 7up products in other people’s shopping carts, so it was nice to see so many people snagging a great deal!
  • 2 Bush’s Grillin’ Beans – $1.75 ea., Used 2 $1.50/1 coupons (no longer available)

So, while I was running around town yesterday, I stopped in at Walmart to use a couple coupons before they expired and happened across a nice unexpected deal. Love those! 🙂

  • Cutter Citronella Candle – $0.97, Used $1.00/1 coupon HERE
  • Head Lettuce – $1.19, Price Checked from Aldi for $0.59 – I really would have preferred to take a trip to Aldi this week, but I just never found the time to squeeze it in.
  • Tide travel size – $0.97, Used $2.00/1 Tide coupon from home mailer (no size exclusions)
  • 3 Diet A&W Root Beer and 5 Diet 7Up (2 Liters), $1.00 ea. – I happened across a ton of $0.55/1 hangtag coupons on an endcap, there were rows & rows of them, wow! I hardly ever find hangtag coupons like this one, so I was really happy to pickup several bottles (And there were still a ton of hangtag coupons when I left!)
  • 2 Crystal Light To Go Energy (10 ct.) $2.00 ea, Used 2 $2.00/1 coupon from previous Facebook promotion
  • White Cloud Bath Tissue (12 double rolls) – $5.37, Used $2.50/1 coupon from previous promotion
  • White Cloud Facial Tissue (90 ct.) – $0.86, Used FREE White Cloud Facial Tissue, any 90 sheet box Free WYB White Cloud Bath Tissue, any 12 roll or larger 4/22 SS insert

So like I said earlier, I ran a few errands on Saturday and made a few quick stops at a couple of stores while I was out. I’ve had people email me and ask me how I have time to run in to different stores and pick up just a few items here & there. My answer to that is, I plan in advance. I make lists of what I’d like to get at each store, I have my coupons ready for each store with the lists and I plan my trips around errands I’m running that week so I can try to get everything accomplished on the same day if possible. Sure, I may find more deals by going out more often, but by cutting the trip down to once a week, it saves not only my precious time, not to mention gas money, but it saves my sanity too! 😉 I wan’t able to find much that was on my list for Target this week, they were out of stock on most of the things I had been looking for. Since this is our only Target in Joplin, this is not an uncommon occurrence. If that had been my only stop yesterday, I would’ve been disappointed, but since it was a part of one combined trip, it was no biggie. Here’s what I was able to find:

  • 1 Coffee-mate Sugar Free Hazelnut (32 oz.) – $3.29, Used free coupon from Facebook promotion (no longer available)
  • 3 Revlon Nail Clippers – $1.97, Used 3 $2.00/1 Target store coupons (no longer available) (auto-adjusted down)
  • 1 Revlon Lash Curler – $2.89, Used $1.00/1 Target catalina manufacturer’s coupon & $2.00/1 Target store coupon (auto-adjusted)
  • 1 ZonePerfect Bar – $1.49, Used Free coupon (don’t remember which promotion this one was from?)
  • 1 Black & White Journal – $0.30 On Clearance, the Dollar Spot (located at the front of the store) was having a big 70% Off clearance sale on all Red Dot items. I picked up several things, did the “do I really need this?” speech in my head and put everything back except for an adorable little journal I picked up for my Grandmother who likes items decorated in black & white.
  • Final Cost $0.32, also got 3 Target catalina manufacturer’s coupons, 2 for $1.00 off one Revlon Beauty Tools & 1 for $1.00 off any one Method item

So, I ran around yesterday to run a few errands and stopped in a made a few quick purchases at a couple stores. We still had plenty of meat & produce, so I picked up a few other things including the following deals at Price Cutter:

  • 2 French’s Dijon Mustard – $1.00 ea., Used 2 $1.00/1 coupons from HERE. Note: These weren’t marked on sale, they were tagged at their regular price of $3.79 (ouch!), but they rang up on sale for $1.00!
  • 2 French’s Spicy Brown Mustard (12 oz.) – $1.00 ea., Used 2 $0.30/1 coupons 3/25 SS insert (doubled)
  • 2 French’s Worcestershire (10 oz.) – $1.00 ea., Used 1 $0.40/1 coupon 3/25 SS insert & 1 $0.30/1 coupon HERE (both doubled)
  • 2 Best Choice Salad Dressings (16 oz.) – $1.00 Yes, I know they were a little cheaper at Harps this week, but I didn’t have any errands planned that way, so was plenty happy with this deal! 😉

I was out running a few errands earlier today, so I stopped in Walgreens to pick up a couple deals. I wanted top take advantage of the rare 15% Off Coupon that was for today only and I had a couple Diet Pepsi coupons I wanted to use. While I was there, I was happy to find a Register Reward deal still in stock and there was even a  “Try Me Free” rebate!

  • 2 Diet Pepsi (2 liter) – $1.00, Used 2 $0.55/1 coupons 3/18 SS insert  & Used Walgreens in-ad store coupon
  • T.N. Dickinson’s Witch Hazel (16 oz.) – $4.00, Got back $4.00 RR,  submitted the “Try Me Free” rebate on product (I filled it out as soon as I got home, that way I won’t forget about it later, I know me, and I WILL forget about it) 😉
  • Used 15% Off Coupon
  • Final Cost $4.30, got back $4.00 RR, and will submit a rebate and should get back $3.40 (price paid after 15% off)  in the mail making this quick little deal a money-maker! 🙂

I hadn’t been to Walmart in quite awhile (I’m just not a fan of the huge crowds), but I actually got there early enough before the heavy traffic, so it wasn’t too scary yet. 😉 I also went early to try and beat the heat, it was in the mid 80’s pretty early today and really muggy, so not very comfortable weather. My shopping trip went well, no issues, a nice and easy transaction which is always great.

Oh, and another random act of kindness alert today! When I left Walmart, I noticed a high-pitched non-stop bark/shriek and wondered what was up, and then I saw that a couple of ladies were stationed in front of a vehicle that had a little dog in it that was just barking away. Only 2 of the windows were open which were barely cracked, so the little guy (or gal) was more than likely overheated. I don’t think people realize that even in this weather, it’s still just too hot for the poor little critters, it gets so much hotter inside a vehicle than just the normal temperature outside. Anyway, the ladies had flagged down a couple Walmart employees and let them know the situation. Whew!

  • Dozen Eggs (large) – $1.98, Price Matched for $0.98
  • 2 White Cloud Bath Tissue (12 double rolls) – $5.37 ea., Used 2 $2.50/1 coupons (previously available). These coupons really surprised me, as terrible as they looked when I printed them, they scanned fine, no problems, no beeps. Go figure! LOL
  • 2 Crystal Light Energy To Go (10 pks.) – $2.00 ea., Used 2 $2.00/1 ips very briefly available & appears every once and awhile here. I’m drinking the Wild Strawberry version right now, yum! 🙂
  • 2 Eckrich Beef Smoked Sausage (13 oz.) – $2.68, Price Matched for $1.99, Used 2 $0.55/1 coupons here. And fyi, according to Eckrich, none of their products contain “Pink Slime” which we keep hearing about in the media.
