During my childhood, I had the rare opportunity to travel around the United States with my parents. We explored a vast amount of territory over the years, and I got to do everything from hike mountains to scour numerous beaches for colorful seashells. I absolutely loved it and am so grateful for those opportunities I had years ago. Having said that, I have always called Missouri my home. Throughout all my travels, we always had our home base in Southwest Missouri to come back to. Our lovely home was nestled in the cliffs above a creek, tucked away in the heart of the Ozarks. I have countless fond memories of my childhood home in Missouri, including picking wildflowers, munching on wild onions, hunting for fossils, and playing in the woods. Would I travel again? Yes, in a heartbeat! But I wouldn’t trade those cherished memories of my home in Missouri for the world.
