As part of my Finding Fritzie journey to make positive changes in my life, getting healthier has been on the top of my list. I’ve struggled with my weight for a big chunk of my life. My pattern has always been this: 1. Go on a diet, 2. Lose certain amount of weight, 3. Stop diet and go back to same bad eating habits, 4. Gain weight and 5. Start the whole crazy diet cycle all over again. Sighhhhhh. And somewhere along the way, I just gave up all together and went straight to #4 and just kept gaining weight over the years. As a result, my health continued to decline along with a whole host of other issues. Thankfully, earlier this year, something inside of me finally clicked and I changed my way of thinking.
This time, for me, it wasn’t about “going on a diet,” and that mental shift has made a world of difference. Now, instead of focusing on a diet, my focus is on getting healthy. I have lost over 65 pounds so far, and while I still have a long way to go, I am feeling better and that is amazing! I thought about it a lot and realized that I wanted more out of life and FINALLY began to believe that I am worth it. I know it may sound corny, but that mental shift has completely made the difference for me. I don’t know why we sometimes feel like we are not deserving of the best in life, because we truly are. In my next post, I want to address exactly what changes I have made and the effects they have had on my health so far.

Even though we’ve never personally met, I’m really excited for you. 65 pounds is amazing. I’ve been trying, half heartedly, for a few months now and have only kept off five pounds. Very discouraging, but I’m not giving up yet!! Congratulations to you!!

Thanks so much! I love your Walking Challenge post. Exercise is something I struggle with SO much, I’m still working on that one! 🙂
